"Unique opportunity to modernise the EU's common market": Lorenzo Galligani

ECR Member Lorenzo Galligani today presented his working document on the "Single Market Strategy" at the Commission for Economic Policy's (ECON) meeting. The opinion will be framed within the Single Market Strategy presented by the European Commission last May. Mr Galligani also met stakeholders and other interested parties to exchange views on the Strategy and the upcoming CoR opinion.

ECR members secure appointments on crucial files shaping Europe's future preparedness

Two members of the ECR Group in the European Committee of the Regions will lead the work on initiatives that fall under the Preparedness Union agenda of the EU: an EU Stockpiling Strategy and a Medical Countermeasures Strategy. Both are designed to improve access to essential goods for European citizens and societies, businesses and economies – ensuring continuity of essential goods and lifesaving medical supplies at all times, in particular during crises such as major energy blackouts, natural disasters, conflicts or pandemics.

ECR Members join ARA's call for stronger measures to support the automotive sector

ECR Vice-President Juraj Droba and ECR member Roberta Angelilli attended the 4th annual conference of the Automotive Regions Alliance (ARA) taking place in Munich, hosted by the Bavaria Region during one of the biggest trade fairs in the world and the biggest in Europe, the International Motor Show. ARA also takes place just days before the European Commission's Strategic Dialogue on the automotive sector. Representatives of European regions called for a just transition based on technological neutrality and for targeted EU investments in the automotive sector.
