Dear Members and Friends,

As we approach the end of the year and the Christmas festivities, it is the perfect time to pause and reflect on our 2025.
This year has marked the beginning of a new mandate for the European Committee of the Regions and for our political group. We commenced this journey with the election of a new ECR Presidency and Bureau, alongside highly engaged and active members. 

This commitment has been evident not only through the active presence of our ECR members in plenary sessions and commission meetings but also through a considerable number of CoR opinions, with our members serving as rapporteurs on various topics, such as the Connecting Europe Facility, High-Speed Rail, and the Wine Package, among others.

Additionally, we have gathered twice outside Brussels for our flagship events, namely: the Summit of Conservative Local and Regional Leaders held in Lublin and hosted by Marshal Jarosław Stawiarski. We also held our annual ECR Study Days in San Benedetto del Tronto, in the Marche Region, hosted by its President Francesco Acquaroli.

This year has been both fruitful and eventful, and as ECR President, I take great pride in our collective achievements. I look forward to continuing our work together in the new year.

As we take this time to celebrate, let us cherish moments with our families and beloved ones, embrace the true values of Christmas, and share our hopes for the year to come.
