Landslide Victory for Juraj Droba: ECR Vice-President Re-Elected in Bratislava

The European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Group in the European Committee of the Regions congratulates its Vice-President, Juraj Droba, on his re-election as President of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region following a landslide victory in Slovakia’s regional elections.

This emphatic result reflects the confidence voters have placed in his leadership and his continued commitment to serving the people of the Bratislava region. His success is also an important moment for the ECR family, demonstrating the value of common-sense based policies, responsibility, local democracy and a strong commitment to conservative values.

The ECR Group also congratulates its members Peter Švaral, re-elected as Mayor of Rohožník, and Branislav Zacharides, re-elected as Mayor of Vrútky.

Together, these results underline the importance of the ECR family in supporting dedicated local and regional leaders who champion their communities, respect local traditions, promote responsible governance and believe that decisions should be taken as close as possible to the citizens they affect.

The ECR Group looks forward to continuing its work with its Slovak representatives in the European Committee of the Regions, ensuring that conservative values, strong local leadership and the interests of Europe’s regions remain firmly represented at European level.
