Roberto Ciambetti appointed rapporteur on European Commission proposal to regulate plastic pellets

Roberto Ciambetti, President of the Veneto Regional Council, has today been elected CoR spokesperson on the European Commission's proposal to prevent microplastic pollution from the unintentional release of plastic pellets. Mr Ciambetti will now begin work on drawing up the CoR opinion on this important piece of work by holding a variety of meetings with concerned stakeholders.

ECR CIVEX Coordinator Matteo Bianchi appointed rapporteur on the EU roadmap to fight drug trafficking

Appointed today during the CIVEX Commission meeting in Brussels, Mr Bianchi will now start work on drawing up a CoR opinion on the "EU roadmap to fight drug trafficking and organised crime" with the first exchange of views scheduled for the February meeting.

ECR Vice-President Anna Magyar was in Bosnia and Herzegovina as speaker on the panel of the 32nd Meeting of the Working Group on Relations with the Western Balkans. The meeting took place in the city of Banja Luka, gathering high-level local and international speakers who exchanged views on the role of local and regional authorities in preparing for EU accession and practices of good governance in local and regional administration.
